Summer is here and that often means a lot of time on the road. Whether you’re just running the kids to day camp or heading out on a long family road trip, you want to be prepared for any emergencies that might happen while on the road. Making sure that you have a well-stocked emergency kit in your car can come in handy in a pinch, whether you have a breakdown or an unexpected situation arises. Now is a great time to restock your emergency kit and add some important items for summer. Check your trunk and be sure that you have the items below in your summer emergency kit!

Summer Emergency Kit for Your Car

First Aid KitIn case of any small injuries or illnesses, having a well-stocked first aid kit on hand is important. Choose a premade kit or put together a kit with essentials like pain relievers, bandages, ice pack, and similar items.

Extra SunblockSometimes an unexpected situation puts you under the glaring rays of the sun. Keep an extra bottle of sunblock on hand to prevent nasty sunburns.

Jumper CablesA good pair of jumper cables is a must-have, in the event you might have a problem with a dead battery or if you need to rescue another traveler who needs a jump.
