As someone who travels a lot with my family there are certain things that I look for in a hotel before making my choice to stay there. The location needs to be convenient to activities and landmarks in the City that I’m visiting, and the rooms need to be spacious since we usually travel as a group of five. (sometimes six) Modus Hotels The Windsor Suites in Philadelphia met my requirements and even more! The Windsor Suites is located just steps away from many of Philly’s iconic attractions; The Franklin Institute , City Hall (with it’s enormous statue of William Penn on top), Rittenhouse Square with it’s fabulous Restaurants and Shopping, just to name a few.
Since I was traveling with only my two daughters this time I was thrilled to be able to stay in such a fabulous hotel for our “girls weekend” away. We knew we were going to enjoy our stay the minute we walked into the lobby of the hotel. The staff was friendly and attentive and the lobby….well, it’s cozy and chic at the same time. The quote on the wall in the entryway as well as the quotes on the elevator doors are great touches that add to the historical feel of the hotel.
The room we stayed in was a One Bedroom Double Suite and to say it was spacious is an understatement. There was a huge living room (with pull out sofa bed)/dining area, full kitchen, a large entryway closet, as well as a bedroom with 2 queen beds, bathroom, and vanity area. This room would have accommodated my entire family of six with room to spare! The Windsor Suites is also pet-friendly…pets stay free and they also offer pet-friendly amenities. You can also choose your favorite food items from Trader Joe’s and the staff will deliver your groceries to your room upon your arrival.
Although we did not have the chance to visit them, the hotel also has a rooftop pool and an on-site fitness center.
As I mentioned above, the location is fabulous. The neighborhood where the hotel is located is beautiful and you can walk to many of the City’s landmarks and attractions. We had the chance to visit the Franklin Institute, One Liberty Observation Deck, Rittenhouse Square, as well as enjoy some of the magnificent street art that is displayed all throughout the City.
We loved our stay at The Windsor Suites; it’s truly the perfect place to stay and play in Philly! We can’t wait to go back and explore more of the City and we will definitely be staying there again very soon. For more information or to book your stay visit thewindsorsuites.com.
