Fall is filled with so many wonderful things to celebrate! Pumpkins, apples, and harvest time get everyone in the mood for some family-friendly fun. The cooler weather and flavors of the season are a perfect combination for a festival. There is so much to see and do all over the state of New York in the fall! Here are some of the best don’t-miss fall festivals in New York. Update your weekend schedule throughout September and October with some festival fun!

September Fall Festivals in New York

Whiteface Mountain Oktoberfest (9/30-10/1) Wilmington, NY – This traditional German fall festival has everything you expect! Find German food and beer, plenty of traditional food to enjoy, and lots of German music and dancing. Great fun for everyone!

New York State Sheep and Wool Festival – (10/21-10/22) Rhinebeck, NY – The Dutchess County Sheep and Wool Growers Association’s annual festival features a variety of competitions, along with workshops on weaving, knitting and basket-making.
